County Championships Report – Day 2

Across the second day of competition, Team Kennet athletes secured an incredible medal haul of 8 Gold, 4 Silver and 5 Bronze medals, rounding off a hugely successful championship weekend.

The Berkshire Championships began strongly in the field events, where the throws squad once again dominated proceedings. In the Under 16 boys Hammer, Oscar Hooks completely controlled the competition, launching the hammer out to 43.11m to secure County gold.

In the older Under 18 age group, Turkay Altuntas continued his exceptional weekend after his Discus success on Day 1, producing a huge 58.61m throw in the Hammer to comfortably take another gold medal.

The Under 14 girls also enjoyed major success, with Isla Ladds producing a fantastic all-round display. She claimed gold in the Shot with 7.37m, before earlier securing another County title in the Long Jump with a leap of 4.60m.

Another field event gold arrived in the Under 18 girls Discus, where Zoe Dickson threw 23.01m to stand on top of the podium.

The Javelin runway also delivered more success for Team Kennet. In the Under 18 men’s event, Will McDonald claimed gold with a throw of 46.79m, while in the Senior Men’s competition, Luke secured an incredible 13th consecutive County title, winning gold with a throw of just over 54m.

Several athletes also earned excellent Silver medals throughout the day. Orlagh Stratford narrowly missed out on High Jump gold in the Under 14 girls competition, losing on countback despite clearing 1.40m.

In the Javelin events, Noah Lauder Clarke secured Silver in the Under 16 boys competition with 44.60m, while second-claim athlete Chris Broadfoot matched the achievement in the Under 18 event with 46.05m.

On the track, the Under 14 girls 800m was decided by time trials, with Ella Larkin producing a strong run of 2:23.88, enough to secure Bronze overall.

Additional Bronze medals came from:

  • Euan Jones – Under 16 Javelin (32.75m)
  • Ben Schaffer Harte – Senior Men’s 1500m (6:04.87)
  • Oliver Young – Under 16 boys 100m (12.67)

Throughout the day there were Team Kennet athletes competing in blue, yellow and white across almost every event, with several athletes narrowly missing out on podium positions.

In the Under 14 girls competition, Matilda Clare enjoyed another busy day, finishing:

  • 4th in the Long Jump (4.46m)
  • 9th in the 800m (2:40.9)
  • 6th in the 200m Final (29.13)

In the Under 16 boys age group:

  • Josh Ladds finished 4th in the Javelin (29.23m) and 8th in the 100m Final (13.91)
  • Owen Tilsley placed 7th in the 100m Final

After medalling on Day 1, Quinn Joyce returned to the track in the Under 14 girls 800m, finishing 6th overall in 2:28.29.

In the Under 16 girls events:

  • Ella Cronk placed 6th in the Long Jump (4.08m)
  • Finished 13th in the 800m (2:46.03)

Meanwhile, Ben Schaffer Harte also reached the Senior Men’s 100m Final, placing 8th in 14.81. and Gold in the 3000m Steeplechase

Away from Berkshire, the Hampshire County Championships saw a much busier second day for Team Kennet athletes, with more medals added to the overall tally.

Harriet Saunders delivered an excellent run in the Under 16 girls 1500m, clocking 4:51.38 to win Silver.

In the Under 18 girls Discus, Suki Humphreys secured Bronze with a throw of 22.81m.

Back in the Under 16 girls events, Catherine Wood narrowly missed out on medals:

  • 4th in the Javelin (21.76m)
  • 5th in the Discus (23.38m)

Olivia Bentley also returned for the 800m Final, running 2:27.07 to finish 6th overall.

County Championships Report – Day 1

Team Kennet athletes delivered an outstanding opening day at the Berkshire County Championships, returning home with an impressive medal haul of 4 Gold, 5 Silver and 5 Bronze medals across a packed schedule of competition.

The Altuntas family once again enjoyed a hugely successful day in the field events. In the Under 16 boys competition, Berkay Altuntas claimed County gold in the Discus with a superb throw of 41.86m, before adding a Silver medal in the Shot with 13.25m. Older brother Turkay Altuntas continued the family success in the Under 18 age group, securing Discus gold with a commanding 52.45m throw.

Also striking gold in the Under 18 category was Theo Nightingale, who cleared 1.85m to win the High Jump title in style.

The fourth gold medal of the day came from Senior/Veteran athlete Bart Kuijten, who produced a strong performance in the 5000m, winning in 17:44.92.

There were several excellent Silver medal performances throughout the day. Oskar Larkin narrowly missed out on High Jump gold in the Under 16 boys event, losing on countback despite clearing 1.51m.

One of the races of the day came in the Under 14 girls 1500m, where a thrilling three-way battle unfolded from start to finish. Quinn Joyce secured Silver in 5:02.08, while Maisie McCurtin earned Bronze after leading parts of the race, finishing in 5:04.78. Teammate Darcey Claridge also competed strongly to place 6th in 5:30.99.

In the Under 14 girls Javelin, Matilda Clare produced a huge throw of 28.67m, earning Silver, while teammate Ella McDonald added another medal to the tally with Bronze thanks to a throw of 23.33m.

Another Bronze medal came courtesy of Zoe Dickson in the Under 18 girls Hammer, where she threw 31.64m.

Back in the Under 16 boys age group, Oliver Young sprinted to Bronze in the 200m Final with 25.12, after earlier finishing third in his heat with 25.3. Teammate Matais Manrique Hueglass also qualified for the final after placing second in his heat with 26.61, although unfortunately he was unable to make the final start line. Earlier in the day, he narrowly missed out on a Long Jump medal with a best leap of 5.10m.

The Under 16 boys Discus also brought more success for Team Kennet, with Rueben Kuijten claiming Bronze thanks to a throw of 34.50m, while Oscar Hooks finished just outside the medals in 4th place with 32.06m.

Several athletes also produced excellent performances despite narrowly missing podium positions. In the Under 14 boys events, Seb Lane finished an excellent 4th in the Long Jump with 4.49m, before adding another 4th place in the 200m Final in 27.69.

Teammate Alfie Cronk also endured a frustratingly close day, finishing 4th in both the Discus (18.13m) and Shot (6.86m).

Meanwhile, Under 14 athlete Matilda Clare rounded off a busy day by reaching the 100m Final, finishing 8th in 13.98 after qualifying from the heats in 13.83.

Away from Berkshire, the Hampshire Championships also brought success for Team Kennet athletes. Catherine Wood secured Silver in the Under 16 girls Shot with 9.54m, while Olivia Bentley safely progressed through to Sunday’s 800m Final after finishing second in her heat in 2:23.02.

An exceptional opening day for Team Kennet, with medals, personal bests, finals qualification and strong performances across every age group.

BUCS Cardiff International

Ben East opened his season in impressive fashion, securing victory in the men’s javelin with a best throw of 74.04 metres.

Competing in difficult conditions, with persistent heavy rain affecting the runway and grip, East showed strong control and composure throughout. Despite the wet weather, he managed to deliver a consistent series and produce a winning mark to kick off his campaign.

A very solid early-season performance, particularly given the conditions, and a promising sign for the competitions ahead.

Team Kennet delivered a series of standout performances across all age groups, with multiple athletes achieving top UK rankings and securing key victories. Highlights included Turkay Altuntas throwing 50.58m in the Discus (UK No. 6), Berkay Altuntas reaching 40.87m (UK No. 4), Noah Lauder Clark throwing 49.74m in the Javelin (UK No. 6), Isla Ladds winning the Discus with 27.26m (UK No. 8), and the Under 14 girls 4x100m relay team ranking 4th in the UK.

Another strong day for Team Kennet at Tilsley Park Athletics Track, securing overall victory across both boys and girls.

U12 Girls

The girls delivered outstanding performances to take first place on the day:

The boys finished third overall and contributed important points towards the overall team win:

The team spirit was excellent throughout, with athletes supporting each other and competing in the right way. Another strong performance from Team Kennet.

Under 18 Men

Although finishing 4th overall, the squad produced some outstanding performances:

Turkay Altuntas won the Discus with 50.58m (UK No. 6), narrowly missing the league record, and also won the Shot with 13.51m.
Will McDonald won the Javelin with 52.46m (UK No. 13).
Theo Nightingale cleared 1.93m to win the High Jump (UK No. 10) and placed 4th in the Long Jump with 5.49m.


What’s Next

Most athletes are next in action at the Berkshire and Hampshire Track and Field Championships, where there is strong potential for a successful medal return for West Berkshire.

Team Kennet Battle the Elements at Radley AC Open

Tilsley Park, Abingdon – 11th April 2026

On an extremely windy day, with some light rain throughout, there were plenty of positives for Team Kennet athletes competing at the Radley AC Open in Abingdon.

The competition saw strong representation across all areas, with athletes competing in the QuadKids, throws, and track events. Participants included Isabella Harte and Olivia Kwitt in the QuadKids section, a strong throws group featuring Alfie Cronk, brothers Berkay and Turkay Altuntas, siblings Alfie and Ella Cronk, Zoe Dickson, and the mum-and-son duo Cheryl and Luke Angell. On the track, Ben Schiffer-Harte, Josh Bailey, and Ella Cronk all competed well.

There were many top-three finishes across the age groups, highlighting a promising start to the outdoor season.


QuadKids Highlights

In the U10 girls’ competition, Isabella Harte showed great resilience. After losing a shoe during the 75m, she still completed the race before going on to produce a strong all-round performance. She recorded a personal best in the 600m (2:27.92) and achieved an excellent winning throw in the vortex (21.62m), finishing 11th overall with 218 points.

In the U12 girls’ competition, Olivia Kwitt delivered one of the standout performances of the day, finishing 2nd overall with 366 points. Her results included:

  • 600m – 1:54.66 (PB) – 1st overall
  • 75m – 11.30 (PB) – 3rd overall
  • Long Jump – 3.58m – 3rd overall
  • Vortex – 23.27m – 3rd overall

Throws Performances

The throws group produced a number of excellent results across multiple age groups.

In the U14 category, Alfie Cronk secured two podium finishes:

  • Discus – 14.19m (SB) – 3rd
  • Shot Put – 7.13m (PB) – 2nd

In the U16 category, Berkay Altuntas won both events:

  • Shot Put – 12.27m – 1st
  • Discus – 41.33m (PB) – 1st

At U18 level, Turkay Altuntas also achieved a double victory:

  • Shot Put – 13.00m – 1st
  • Hammer – 54.42m – 1st

His hammer throw was the strongest in the age group, outperforming teammate Zoe Dickson, who achieved a season’s best of 30.32m to finish 3rd.


Track Performances

On the track, Josh Bailey (U14) ran an excellent race to win the 800m in a personal best time of 2:47.55.

Ella Cronk (U16) also competed over 800m, finishing 9th and gaining valuable early-season experience.


Senior & Masters Results

In the senior events, Luke Angell took victory in the javelin with a season’s best throw of 59.60m.

In the masters categories, Ben Schiffer-Harte (M40) produced an outstanding series of performances across multiple events:

  • 100m – 13.85 (PB, wind-assisted +4.5) – 1st
  • 400m – 3:05.96 (SB) – 2nd
  • 800m – 1:18.85 (SB) – 1st
  • 2000m Steeplechase – 9:49.19 (SB) – 1st

In the W60 category, Cheryl Angell secured 2nd place in the hammer with a throw of 18.36m.


Looking Ahead

Well done to all athletes who competed in challenging conditions. The event provided a great opportunity to start the track season, shake off the cobwebs, and build momentum for the competitions ahead.

The club will be hoping to return next season with an even bigger squad and continue building on these strong early performances.

South of England Indoor Championships

Team Kennets Ella Larkin struck gold at the weekend in the under 13 girls 800m in the South of England Indoor Championships being held at Lee  Valley.

On the Saturday Ella had to earn her place in the final by either winning her heat or being top 3 fastest loser, Ella went out steady in third place over two laps picking of second place girl on the third lap and then taking the leader over the last 100m to win her best in fastest time of the day just under 2.29, on Sunday Ella started in lane 6 again she settled in third place but for only 400m then Ella surprised the field by speeding up which no one following, she extended her distance all the way to the finish clocking 2.25.88 some 4 seconds  clear of the field and also breaking the clubs indoor 800m record.

Also taking part for the under 15 boys was Matias Manrique Huelgas in the 200m. Matias progressed well through the heats, and semi final to reach the final finishing in 6th place.

Oxford League Match 2

Team Kennet were back in action during the summer break in Banbury at the weekend, for the second year running with very hot conditions on the day for the second Oxford League Match. 

The warmer conditions didn’t stop the U13 girls who finished in 1st place on the day.  In the 100m Isla Ladds 4th 15.1s A String and Affra Bailey 15.5s B string for 3rd.  in the longer sprint 200m Penelope Lyth 5th 30.9s A String and Ladds 2nd 31.7 B String.

Harriet Saunders made her debut in the 800m finishing 1st A string 2.35.4 and Bailey 2nd B String 2.56.1.  1500m was sure to be a tough race in the warmer conditions, Lyth 2nd A string 5.35.8 and Ella McDonald 5.57.1 for B String.

On the field Quinn Joyce made her debut in high jump finishing 4th with 1.15m A string.  Long jump Ladds 3.99m A string to finish 2nd, McDonald 3.53m B string to finish 1st.  McDonald also in the javelin 14.66m to finish 3rd A String.  Lyth finished 1st in the discus A string 12.63m and Saunders 5th A string shot with 5.58m, Bailey 2nd with 5.23m for the B String. 

For the U15 girls Emerald Hill Sawyer was 4th A string for the 100m 14.1s and 3rd in the 300m 46.8s.  In the 800m Ella Cronk 2nd A string 2.52.7.  On the field Cronk 1st in the high jump A string 1.35m, Long Jump Hill-Sawyer 1st A String 4.31m and Cronk 2nd B string 4.02m.   Zoe Dickson 3rd A string Javelin 14.84m 1st A string Discus 18.78m and 2nd A string shot 6.97m.  U15 girls finished 5th on the day.

In the U17 women Sophie Moores 13.9s to finish 4th A String 100m and Emelia Lunn also 13.9s to finish 1st B String.  Moores 3rd A string for the 200m 28.9s and Leilah Gaye 4th B string 32.5s.  Lunn and Moores both in the 300m with Lunn finishing 2nd A String 45.4 and Moores 1st B String 48.3s.  In the 800m Beth Maclean 1st A string 2.32.0. On the field Gaye 2nd A String high jump 1.35m, Lunn 2nd Long jump A String 4.46m and Maclean 1st B strong 4.26m.  Maclean 1swt in the javelin A string 26.88m.  U17 Women finished 1st on the day. 

In the boys U13 Thomas Williams 7th A string 100m 16.3s and Jenson Nichols 1st B String 14.5s. Williams 5th in the 200m 35.2s and Harvey Butler 1st B String 30.5s.  In the 800m Malik Gaye 6th A string 2.53.8.  Harry Smith 4th A string 1500m 5.01.8. In the field Gaye 1.22m in the high jump ti finish 1st A string.  In the long jump Smith 4th 3.83m and Gaye 5th B string 3.41m.  Nichols 1st place in the javelin A string 25.80m, Alfie Cronk 3rd A string in the discus 10.32m 7th shot 4.60m a string with Harry Smith 3rd B string 4.24m.  U13 boys finishing 4th on the day.

In the U15’s Josh Brian 6th 100m A string 13.9s and 7th A string 200m 30s, Josh Ladds 5th B string 30.6s.  Noah Lauder Clark 4th A string 300m 47.8s.  On the field in the long jump Brian 4th 4m, B string Ladds 3.95m. Will McDonald finished 2nd in the javelin A string 37.53m, Lauder-Clark 1st B String 33.06m.  In the discus McDonald 3rd A String 17.73m, Lauder Clake 1st B String 15.43m.  U15 boy’s 4th on the day.    Overall, on the day Team Kennet were 2nd behind Oxford and are now joint top of the league. 

Also on the day our QuadKids athletes delivered some incredible performances.

 Harvey Baker shattered records with a lightning-fast 11.9 seconds in the 75m and launched the Vortex to a massive 38.96m, setting new Oxford League and TK records in both events!

 Lenny Wyvill blazed through the 600m, finishing in 2:02.04 and setting a new U9 boy’s record!

 Chester Bailey soared to 3.45m in the long jump, breaking the Oxford League and TK record!

 U9 Boys dominated the day, securing 1st place overall!

 U9 Girls took 2nd place with Hazel Blatch as the sole competitor!

 U11 Girls secured another victory, while the U11 Boys finished a strong 4th!

 Overall combined team score: 2nd place, just 12 points behind the top spot! We’re heading into the last match tied on points with Oxford.

The under 13 girls were 2nd in their match the middle distance girls picking up wins in the 1500m early in the day with Harriet Saunders 5.36.5 and Jessie McCurtin 5.38.7, Also in the shorter distance of the 800m with Olivia Bentley 2.36.5 and second place in the B string Penelope Lyth 2.51.4, McCurtin secured a second win in the B string 200m 31.5, 100m Olivia Bentley 3rd A String 14.8 and Penelope 3rd B String 15.8s.  Matilda Clare won her B string high Jump with a leap of 1.15, she came second in the Javelin 15.07 and team mate Ella McDonald won the B string 13.91. In the shot Affra Bailey 3rd A String 4.32m. The 4x100m Relay quartet of Clare, Bentley, McCurtin and Lyth ran superb legs to come home in first place 60.3.

The under 13 Boys matched the girls with a second place in their league, firstly on the track superb double win came from Harry Smith 5.11.6 and Josh Bailey 5.58.5 in the 1500m, more double wins came in the  Javelin with Euan Jones 28.79 and Jenson Nichols 18.94, The discus Berkay Altuntas 27.10 and Alfie Cronk, and Berkay made it another win in the Shot 7.29, Nichols picked up a second in the B string High Jump 1.10, while Sam Atkins cleared 1.20 for 3rd A string in the High Jump, Harvey Butler ran well in the sprints 100m 15.3 and 200m for 3rd 32.2

The under 15 boys also finished 2nd in their match, best result came in the Discus with Turkay Altuntas winning with 36.58 and Will McDonald winning the B string 17.75, Turkay went on to win the Shot with a huge 12.40, in the Javelin another win came in the B string with Josh Ladds 20.05, Will McDonald had to settle for 3rd A string 28.92, elsewhere best points came in the B string 1500m with Arthur Patterson 5.35.1

The under 17 women had a much better turn out that usual, they also clinched second place on the day, on the field Emelia Lunn lept 4.61 and Sophie Moores 3.96 for a double win, Clare McGonnell won her Javelin 30.52, While Evie Lewis won two of her events Discus 24.86 and Shot 8.69, Moores added a win in the B string 200m 30.5 with McGonnell taking 3rd in the A string 28.4, she later came 2nd in the 100m B with 13.8

The under 15 girls league was tough, the Tk girls had to settle for 3rd place in their own league, some great races on the track unfolded, in the 300m a double win came from Emerald Hill Sawyer 47 and Chloe O’Riordan 49.4, Hill Sawyer had to settle for 2nd in the 800m with 2.39.3 but a good run from Ella Cronk 2.46.3 saw her first in the B string, Charlotte Bailey had to settle for 2nd in the 1500m 5.19.3 but Anna Hall made sure she won the B string 5.44.7. The Relay ~Quartet of Hall, Hill Sawyer, O’Riordan and Cronk ran a great race to come home in first place 59.8, on the field two second places came in the high Jump Cronk 1.30 and Bailey 1.15, then a Double win came from the Javelin Hall 16.84 and Zoe Dickson 16.13, Dickson went on to win the A string Discus 17.70, then came 2nd in the Shot 7.04

Finaly the under 17 mens age group came 4th, in the Javelin a superb double win came from James Fenner 43.66 and Joe Hoaen 19.49, Hoaen came 2nd in his Discus 25.22 and Shot 7.01. Theo Nightingale came 2nd in his High Jump 1.65

In the younger age group U9 and U11 took first place overall for QUADKIDS with 2140 points. 

Three Under 9 girls and 15 under 11 girls took part, some new to Quadkids this year and with last years success, they were keen to make a good start and didn’t disappoint. 

For the U9 girls it was Sienna Preston who impressed on the day, finishing 3rd overall. Newcomers Matilda Hogg and Evelyn Pedersen also taking part ensured the girls secured 2nd team on the day with 277 points.  For the U11 girls in the 75m sprint Orlagh Stratford was quickest for TK with 11.5s, sister Alice 12.4s and Sophia Mahoney 12.5s.  O Stratford also quickest for TK in the 600m clocking 2:01:0, again sister Alice close behind with Praiya Foreman clocking 2:09.  Orlagh leaped the furthest with 3.16m, Alice 2.84m and Matilda Sauders close with 2.76m,  In the vortex Mahoney stole the show with 26.79m, A Stratford 26.63m and newcomer Ines Field 19.85m.  Orlagh Stratford achieved 4th individual overall the team 1st on the day with 704 points. 

For the boy’s group there were five Under 9’s and 5 under 11’s taking part.  Chester Bailey making his debut in Quadkids and achieving 1st overall and Lenny Wyvil in 2nd overall.  Chester was quickest in the 75m clocking 12.9s and leaped the furthest with 2.58m in the long jump.  Lenny ran quickest in the 600m clocking 2:12:8 and also had the longest vortex throw of 23.03m.  Also taking part for the U9 boys William Winter and Idris Gaye.  The team on the day achieved 1st place with 559 points.

In the U11 boys it was Louise Cartwright and William Moloney neck and neck in the 75m clocking 12.2s.  Cartwright was quickest in the 600m with 2:03:5. In the long jump Cartwright again leaped the furthest with 2.81m, Moloney 2.56 and Sebastian Lauder-Clarke 2.42m.  Finally, the vortex throws Lauder-Clarke threw furthest with 21.44m, Gethin Thomas 20.27m and Cartwright close behind in 19.34m.  Strong performance from Cartwright saw him secure 4th place individual on the day.  The team finished in 5th with 600 points.

Quad Kids Oxford League Match 3

Team Kennet Quad kids were back out in action in Abingdon on Sunday for the 3rd and final match of the Oxford League.  With a full Squad of 32 athletes, they aimed to not disappoint in the sunshine!

Team Kennet Youngsters secured Team League Champions in under 9 Girls and U11 Girls and also U9 Boys

First up were the U9 boys, with 8 athletes in this group in the sprints 75m Sebastian Lauder-Clarke was quickest for TK with 13.4s closely followed by Gethin Thomas 13.6s and Alexander Cameron and Jacob Williams both clocking 13.7s.  The long jump saw newcomer Toby Hartley leap 2.75m to score the best jump for the U9 TK boys.  In the 600m Thomas was quickest for TK clocking 2:15:8. All boys threw well in the vortex with Thomas shining again throwing 24.17m.  Thomas finished 4th overall on the day for the U9 boys.  Other boys taking part Max Burt, Alexander Browning and Eoin Fussell.  The U9 boys finished 2nd on the day scoring 575 points to secure the league win. 

Also with 8 athletes taking part, the U11 boys group.  In the 75m sprint Malik Gaye was fastest for TK clocking 11.9s followed by Connor O’Riordan, Samuel Atkins and Flynn Sanderson all clocking 12.4s.  It was close in the long jump with Gaye leaping furthest for TK with 3.43m with Gaye, Atkins 3.13m and O’Riordan close behind with 2.96m.    With the heat increasing the 600m heats were going to be tough but Gaye managed a quick time of 1:59:2 to be quickest for TK followed by Atkins 2:02:4.  In the vortex throw Gaye was strong again with a throw of 27.95m, Joshua Kuijten 26m and Josh Bailey 23.89m. Gaye was top scorer for the U11 boys resulting in a 7th place overall on the day.  Also taking part JJ Mercer and Brodie Sanderson.  The U11 boys finished 5th on the day with a combined score of 778 points. 

For the under 9 girls, we had 4 athletes taking part.  Praiya Foreman was quickest for TK in the 75m sprint clocking 12.8s and Matilda Saunders close behind with 13.4s.  Saunders leaped 2.94m in the long jump to record the longest U9 girls jump on the day. Foreman was close behind with 2.56m.  It was close again in the 600m between Foreman and Saunders just Saunders was quickest for TK clocking 2:08:9 breaking the Club record and League record previously broken in the last match by Foreman.  Darcy Scaplehorn threw furthest for TK with 20.31m in the vortex, Foreman 19.44m, Saunders 17.05m and Evelyn Barker 10.06m.  Saunders secured 1st overall on the day and Foreman 2nd overall.  The U9 girls finished 1st on the day scoring a combined score of 478 points. 

Last up the Under 11 girls and it was close in the 75m sprint with Matilda Clare clocking the fastest U11 Girl sprint 11.3s, followed by Ella Larkin 11.8 and Penelope Lyth 11.9s.  In the long jump Isla Ladds leaped furthest for TK with 3.53m, Clare 3.51m and Lyth 3.46m.  The 600m saw some quick times for the girls with Ella Larkin breaking her club record to clock a time of 1:54:9 in the warm temperatures, Clare 2:01:9 and Lyth 2:06:1.  Clare threw furthest for TK 34.69m to record a personal best, Alice Stratford 27.39m and Lyth 25.01m.  Sophia Mahoney, Ella McDonald, Isla Ladds and Ella Larkin all also throwing over 20m.  Also taking part Izzy Fagan, Affra Bailey, Orlagh Stratford, ~Jasmin Hemmings and Matilda Pedersen.  Clare finished 1st over all on the day, Larkin 2nd and Lyth 4th.  The U11 girls finished 1st on the day with a score of 883 to secure the league win and ending the season with a double league win in Oxford and Wessex leagues.

Team Kennett U11 Girls broke the 4x100m record, which they set in the first match of the season, running 63.0. Well done to Ella Larkin, Matilda Clare, Isla Ladds and Penelope Lyth.

Inter – Counties Report

Team Kennet had several athletes represent Berkshire at Horspath, in Oxford at the u15/17 Inter Counties match.

Seb Simpson was on fire as he broke the under 17 club Discus record and moving him to UK number 14 throwing 42.63 to finish in 3rd place earning himself a new personnel best throw.

Another Personnel best came from Clare McGonnell in the u15 girls Javelin where she finished 4th with 32.77 to go UK 27 in her age group.

George Down also took part in the under 17 age group he also came 4th place with a jump of 6.24.
