Throws coaches at Yeovil Olympiad AC Open Competition


On Sunday, our throws coaches competed in the Yeovil Olympiad AC Open Competition. In a rare occurrence, both mother and son Cheryl Angell and Luke Angell were placed in the same event., both achieving a personal best.

Luke faced strong competition and recorded an outstanding throw of 61.53 metres, surpassing his previous long standing personal best. Cheryl achieved 15.95 metres for a new V60 club record in the javelin and recorded a season’s best throw of 21.06 metres in the 3 kg hammer.
