Javelin Carnival

Team Kennets’ very own Javelin Coach & athlete, Luke Angell earned his second international status, after he flew out to the Pihtipudas Javelin Carnival in Finland on Wednesday 30^th June along with Ben East, to take part in the world biggest Javelin Carnival in the world.  

Luke went to join other top coaches from GB and other European countries to learn and train with the very best in this event. Ben picked up an injury early on and was unable to partake at the carnival, so it was left to Luke to take part in the competition and fly the flag and the GBR banner. Luke came 8^th with 58.58m but more importantly for him, it was about meeting the very best in the sport and learning from others as well as working with athletes he has admired for many years, namely Uwe Hohn (104m), Teema Wirkkala (87m) and Tero Pitkamaki (91m) see photos.
