UK Decathlon Championships
Team Kennet Athlete Stuart Bladon secured 9th place at Bedford at the weekend in the under 20 UK Decathlon Championships.
Bladon set 5 new club records and secured 5 top 50 UK individual perfomance rankings on his way with a combined score of 6454pts.
Day one saw a 100m in 11.51 then a 6.51m long jump followed by 10.99 shot throw. He then equalled club record in the high jump 1.90 and finished the day with a 52.11 400m to set up day 2 in 7th place.
Day 2 began well with a 15.13 110m hurdles a new club record his Discus was 31.29 then another club record in the pole vault with 3.66m. He then threw a huge 45.64 in the javelin and then the 1500m saw him run a fast 4.44.52 which finished him with a new club record of 6454 pts and top 10 finish.
