Basingstoke AC Competiton
An early start for the TK Thrower.
The Team Kennet throwers started early this year by entering a winter series competition at Basingstoke AC in February.
The competition has all ages competing in all throws discipline together, therefore, throws coach, Cheryl Angell, competed alongside some of her athletes. A benchmark was set with a purpose to progress further, in the up-and-coming meetings this season.
On the day, blustery conditions were severe at times and the host club did debate whether to call it off for Health and Safety reasons but luckily the competition went ahead. Although temperatures were cold, the windy conditions far from ideal, all made the most of the competition.

Seb Simpson u17, Hammer 44.45 PB, Shot 11.55, Discus 32.90. Will McDonald u15, Discus 14.76, PB and Javelin 25.73 PB. Josh Ladd’s U13 Javelin 20.75. Brandon Carter U20 Javelin 39.53, just under his PB.
